Outlook client generating event id 26 over and over and over

Ok..we are running Exchange 2003 with Outlook 2003 clients.  We recently relocated part of our office to a remote location in Atlanta.  Our main office and exchange server are in Texas.  For some reason quiet a few of the users running outlook are generating event ID 26's in the application log.  The message shows that the client is dropping off from the exchange server....then immediatlely comes back on.  So in essence i have event id 26 that shows lost connection then another event id 26 that says connection restored.  There is no set pattern as to the time these events are generated.   It is causing some disruption to users.  Any suggestions on how to trouble shoot this problem?  The switch is new and we are running a Sonicfirewall Pro 4060 in the end with the exchange server and a Sonicwall TZ170. They both have t1's to the internet.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I've tried increasing the timeout settings on Outlook from 30 seconds to 120 seconds.  Thanks

You could try running RPC over HTTP and Exchanged Cached mode.  Its not MAPI connection based and you wouldn't get any disconnect errors.
Here is a link to technet.  This would be a much more efficient transfer mechanism for you.

Another helpful link for RPC over HTTP.

thanks but i found the problem...it was a setting on the firewall that would cause the tunnel to drop when not passing traffic.
That's cool.  I'm glad you figured it out.
I think you can post a link to this question in the Support TA section and ask them to close the question without points being awarded.
