Cannot uninstall CutePDF

I downloaded and installed Ghostscript and CutePDF Writer (documentation said Ghostscript was required for CutePDF to function). It worked fine when creating a PDF.  As I was just testing, I wanted to uninstall it. When I try to uninstall CutePDF Writer, I get the error:  "Uninstall CutePDF Writer failed. (Err-203)". So, I removed all entries referring to CutePDF from the registry.  I wanted to retest the installation and uninstallation because this app will be installed on a lot of computers. After reinstalling CutePDF Writer, I received an error initializing output device when trying to use it. The uninstall gives the same error as before, and I can't find anywhere to uninstall Ghostcript.  Since I'm using Windows XP, I tried several restore points, and am advised that the system was unable to perform the restore and that not changes were made to the system.
So, any ideas?

Greetings, pbohning !

Try using the Windows Installer cleanup utility to cleanup the CutePDF install

Well, it was worth a shot.  Windows Installer cleanup utility doesn't list CutePDF.  Also, there are now no references in the registry to CutePDF, even after trying to reinstall (which gives the message that CutePDF Writer is already installed and that I need to uninstall it before reinstalling).
Running a Windows XP repair didn't solve the problem either.
When you said Windows XP repair, do you mean a repair install?  That would replace the registry.  You may have to do a clean format and install.

You said in your question that system restore does not let you go to any restore point?  System Restore is not working either?

Yes, did a repair install.  And system restore doesn't appear to be working, no.  YourUninstaller didn't work either.  I sure hope I don't have to do a clean install.
Okay, I got it fixed, though I'm not quite sure how.  There was a print port called virprnt.  I searched through the registry and removed all instances of virprnt and CutePDF, and rebooted.  Then I first installed GPL Ghostscript 8.15 Lite (required for CutePDF) followed by installation of CutePDF Writer.  It works now and doesn't give an error.  Uninstalling does not return an error.  So I must have done something to screw it up before.  I had tried renaming the CutePDF entry in the Printers and Faxes folder to PDF Writer because I didn't want the word cute in there, tried uninstalling without changing the name back, so maybe that's what did it.  Maybe it was the virprnt port in there.  I had been testing varius PDF writers.  Anyway, it works now.  Thanks.
