401.1 Logon Failed

I have run the permissions wizard on my default Web site in IIS, and when I try to open a simple HTML page on my computer at 127.0.0.1, I first get a prompt to enter some username and password (clearly not my Windows login info because that won't let me in either), then it jumps to

"You are not authorized to view this page."

HTTP 401.1 - Unauthorized: Logon Failed

How can I allow myself to view my own HTML and ASP pages in my webroot without having to logon?

Also in some cases you might have NTFS permissions removed from the folder ACL.. so silplu go to the physical location of your website folder.. right click on it, select the security tab and ensure that the iusr_webservername is there with read permissions..
