Unable to change computer name on domain due to "Multiple connections to a server ..."

When I try to rename a computer on my domain I get the following error:

Title: Computer Name Changes
Error: Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed.  Disconnect all prevous connections to the server or shared resource and try again.

I have renamed computers set up exactly the same as this one in the past with no problems.  Please advise.

Thanks

Doug

The combination of a reboot and the NET USE /DELETE command seemed to work.

That remote utility looks interesting as well.

Thanks

I right-clicked my mapped drives and chose "disconnect."
That worked fine for me.
I tried the Net USE command but didn't seem to work... I disconnected the mapped drives in Windows Explorer and that fixed the problem
I was trying to change the computer name over a VPN and got this error. Disconnecting the network drives worked perfectly.
What worked for me was to log onto the computer with a local admin account rather than a domain account. NET USE command showed I had no connections to any servers, I was then able to change the computer name.
