if you want to setup an icon, that is a different issue entirely...
for example, open up your my computer with disc's in the cdrom's.... CDRW... DVDRW... etc...    the icon shows a cd-rom disc... then if you insert a disk distributed from... let's say windows or quicken or aol or www.jackshigh.com, the icon changes....

you would need to create a .ico file. ..  its basically a graphics files -- of the top of my head - like 16x16 pixels... (look into the details on google if you want to set that up ...)

so to answer your question...
on a windows based pc, you should be using
autorun.inf
=================
open=filename.exe

the filename.exe should be in
\ on the cdrom
if you make in a swf/html file... you should be using
open=iexplore.exe filename.html

I used Swish.... it allow sme to make an .exe file.

The cd plays just fine on my comptuer.  Poped it in another comptuer and got something saying not a valid win32 aplacation =(
i am not familiar with swish, but you probably have some dependencies available on your computer that the other computer does not have.  (it could be anything but it might be a missing shockwave player.)

can you distribute the file as an html?
i know that when I use macromedia flash that I can encode the source data file into .swf or .html

although, this might sound a little complicated, really it is not.... what you might want to do.... is setup a start.html webpage with a little java script to check if shockwave is present in the browser, if it is then it loads the movie.html flash presentation; if not, then it loads a html page explaining the problem and here is the url to get macromedia wth instructions.

html would be best for your distribution means....
