Can not ping my Linux

Hi experts,

I have two Linux Fedora machines my home network, setup the same. One of them I can ping, or connect through SSH to it. The other one I can not ping in any way. This other machine does have internet and must be on the network, what could be the problem with it being unaccessible?

Thank you.

hi ,
I think the firewall on the machine must be preventing other machines from acessing it
so type "iptables -F" on the command prompt and it showld start working

Actually, I had to set the network to point to router as common gateway, but I will still give the points. Any discussion helps.
