How to execute a script on remote AIX server from another AIX machine?

Hi there,

I am executing a script on AIX-1, in that script I have to execute another script on AIX-2.

Please help me over this.

I had tried this by using rsh, but it says the permission denied. There is a entry of the remote host in my /etc/hosts file. But still its not getting.

Please provide some pointers.

Thanks & Regards

you need to setup propper permissions for using rsh on your AIX-2
you need to setup /etc/hosts* as root and ~/.rhosts as the user you try to log in

Why is it in the 21st Century that people are still using rsh and telnet.

Unless there is a very good reason to be using rsh, you should use ssh instead.
Actually they would recomment some Tivoli produce for that, but yes, ssh (or rsh) will work.
