I have AOL 9.0 dial up...and lately I can't seem to get a successful logon to the network and if I do, it hangs up and restarts the login process. I have tried different phone numbers for the modem to dial and have had no success. I have another computer that is older and hooked up and was able to login to AOL on the first try. Is it possible my modem isn't working anymore? I have uninstalled AOL and reinstalled thinking maybe there was a driver that was bad but that didn't seem to work either.
This computer that isn't able to login is a Dell 4500S Windows XP home edition.
Is there a way to check to see if the modem is working?
