sbs 2000/2003 and additional DCs

Hi

I have seen in the forums, discussions about the ability to add additional DCs to SBS 2003 environments as long as the SBS server is the first DC in the tree and holds the FSMO roles.

However does this also apply to SBS 2000 ?

Does anybody have links to Microsoft white papers of TIDs which outline this? Need this for internal purposes for it be of serious consideration.

Thanks

Hi john_123,

There's no problem at all adding an additional DC to an SBS2000 domain... the same requirements exist regarding the SBS remaining at the root of the forest and holding all FSMO roles.

The how-to is here:  http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sbs/2000/maintain/addsrvrs.mspx#EDAA

Good Luck!
