sent read receipts logging?

Outlook 2000 SP3 with Exchange server.

When someone requests a read receipt does Outlook log this so I know when one has been sent?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Dont think that Oulook actually "logs" the read receipt as such, but if you want to know when one is being send, set you options to ask you first.  Dont ahve outlook 2000 to hand, but its under tracking options and is titled "ask me before sending a response"

Anyone concur StuartWhyte's response?

Greetings, donnatronious.

I agree with StuartWhyte, but there is another possibility.  While Outlook doesn't appear to fire any event when a receipt is sent making it impossible to know that a receipt has been sent it should be easy enough to create a log of all messages that requested a receipt (the assumption being that a receipt was sent if one was requested).  The code for that should be pretty simple.  If that sounds like a solution, then let me know and I'll get the code posted.
