Word cannot complete the save due to a file permission error
Hi,
I have a Word document on a USB drive. I can open the document, edit it, and save it to the hard drive. What I can't do is save it back to the USB drive. I get the following error message: Word cannot complete the save due to a file permission error. The drive is not locked. Document is not locked nor restricted in any other way.......I know of. There is plenty of disk space on the drive. Program is Word 2002 and operating system is Win XP. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi vsg375,
Yep...deleting it off the USB drive and then saving it back works.
Many thanks,
