1. I have installed APACHE and I am able to run PHP and PERL files. I have installed TOMCAT and it is running fine and I can execute the JSP pages if I type http://localhost:8080/Sample.jsp
. I read about the mod_jk plug-in and as far I could understand, it allows the execution of JSP pages from APACHE i.e. http://localhost/Sample.jsp
will work. I have tried configuring the mod_jk from the following tutorial:
Topic: Apache+Tomcat/JSP+mysql on Fedora core 4
However, when I try to browse http://localhost/examples/
I got 404. http://localhost:8080/examples/
works fine. What I am missing here?
2. Do I have to put the JSP pages in the tomcat shared folder or I can execute it from anywhere?
