vbscript to switch from one gateway to another

I know you can add multiple gateways to a network card and add metrics but that only helps when a gateway goes totally down, then windows will use the other.

I have 2 internet connections and my users need to switch between them depending on how 'slow' one is compared to another.

I need a vbscript (or vb.net .exe code) so they can just double click to switch from one gateway address to another on windows xp.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Why don't you just make a batch file.  Probably a lot simpler.

you can use a batch file to do this...

@echo off
route change mask  (change to second gateway)

@echo off
route change mask (change back to first gateway)
