pkzip.exe command line problem

I have a user who needs to run pkzip from the command line from any directory or any drive. I set it up in XP under Environment Variables as a path statement with a value of c:\pkzip\pkzip.exe because thats where the file is located.

At first it wouldnt run until I put it in the root directory of  the C drive and then changed the value to c:\pkizp.exe.

Now it will work on the C drive but nowhere else. I get the message saying:
'pkzip' the name specified is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

The funny thing is that it works from my computer without having to setup a environment variable.

What am I missing?

I don't believe you should be specifying the file name in your path statement--just the folder containing the file. I believe the following statement adds the pkzip folder to the existing directories in your Path environmental variable.
Path %Path%;C:\pkzip

Put the pkzip.exe file in your C:\windows\system32 folder
