Hi esperts, this question is 2 fold - 2 different domains, same program installation,
Site 1: I am tring to install YABB Discussion Forum in my website and keep running into the following error: You don't have permission to access /cgi-bin/yabb2/Setup.pl on this server
I have set the permissions like the manual suggested but I am still running into this problem. My hosting account has various domains. I created a cgi-bin folder in one of the domains and loaded the yabb installation files there, but it seems I don't have the permissions to access this folder from a browser.
I asked the hosting service for the path for perl and it matched the one given in the instructions. Does this path change if I don't load the installation files in the root folder?
Site 2: I originally loaded the installation files in the cgi-bin root directory, but then I moved them. When they were in the root directory I was able to access them, but for the sake of organization I moved them inside the cgi-bin directory of site 2. Now when I try to access the setup file I get a 500 Internal error and when I chedk the log I get the following: Can't find string terminator "~" anywhere before EOF at /usr/www/users/hwd01/mysite.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/Setup.pl line 2192.
