Turning PC into FTP even though connected via wireless router

Hello

My PC is connected to the internet via a Linksys Wireless router.  I was wondering how I can set up an FTP server just on my PC so I can access my files on the fly.

I have Win XP Home SP2

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

im using Golden FTP

and my Linksys Router model is WRT54G
Rob WilliamsCommented:
If you have your Golden FTP set up you only need to add port forwarding on your Router for FTP services. See this link for details for the WRT54G:

If you want to use the built in XP FTP service have a look at these:

No you have to follow the instructions and change the firewall, and enter the necessary port forward details , and your FTP server must be configured properly.
