Printer auto-creation failure. Reason: AddPrinter() failed with status 0x5
Hi,
We are running farm of 3 PS4/Win2k3 SP1 servers, one of them is always getting "Printer auto-creation failure. Reason: AddPrinter() failed with status 0x5" in the event viewer, and users printers on this servers can't be created.
The point is that this occur occasionally, sometimes printers auto creation work and sometimes no!
I reviewed CTX106683 and CTX106393 and applied instructions, but no luck.
Any recommendation?
Regards,
Waleed

I've heard of problems with the Local Host Cache causing this.
I've excerpted this from the Admin Guide (Page 68)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~
Recreating the Local Host Cache
You can manually create the local host cache from the farm’s data store. If the Citrix
IMA Service fails to start or you have a corrupt local host cache, you may need to
recreate it.
To recreate the local host cache, stop the IMA Service and then run the command
dsmaint recreatelhc. Running this command performs three actions:
• Sets the value of the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWAR E\Citrix\I MA\ Runtime\PSRequired
to 1
• Deletes the existing local host cache (Imalhc.mdb)
• Creates an empty local host cache (Imalhc.mdb)
You must restart the IMA Service after running dsmaint recreatelhc. When the
IMA Service starts, the local host cache is populated with fresh data from the data
store.
The data store server must be available for dsmaint recreatelhc to work. If the data
store is not available, the Citrix IMA Service fails to start.
I already did for Citrix Print management, but is it necessary for SMA service?
I already applied this hotfix rollup from day one.
Thanks,
