Greetings,<br />

trying to install a Windows XP Pro guest OS in a VMWare virtual machine. As the VM is started and attempts to begin the guest OS installation I immediately get the following error from VMWare as well as the VM display appearing to have some serious problems:<br />

| [msg.log.monpanic] *** VMware Workstation internal monitor error *** <br />
| NOT_IMPLEMENTED at 10e2 (7568)<br />
&nbsp;<br />
At this point VMWare hangs after a few seconds and I have to kill it. I had done some research on the net about this problem and have found several other people had it with VMWare 4.5.1, someone eluded to the fact that this was a VMWare bug and I needed to upgrade to 4.5.2<br />

Can someone confirm? or does someone know of this problem and a potential workaround?<br />
