For some reason the java plugin for IE is not working, we are not able to view a specific java applet in our intranet. Ther weird thing is I went to sun java and did java tests and was able to pull up their applets fine, only with this specific applet in our intranet we are unable to view. It comes up with a Red X. Here is a list of things we have tried.

1.Cleared all of the IE cache and temporary files
2. uninstalled the jre and reinstalled it
3.went into the control panel>java and disabled the IE browser plugin then re-enabled it
4.updated the j2re to 5
5.installed FireFox and it worked perfectly in it
6.Did a windows repair
7.Re installed IE and did the IE Fix
8. dont know why but tried the Winsock fix

I am at a loss on this one, does anybody have any suggestion's that I have not tried???? I forgot to mention this computer was just reformatted and had a fresh install of the J2re so a Windows restore would not do the trick. Just to add one more thing this is not a permissions problem either we have logged into an Admin account to try this also. This applet does work on all of the other users computers just this specific machine is effected.

Thanks,

Joe
