I have a file that is delimited by commas ...I use the String Tokenizer to split the Line and work with the Tokens ....

But what is happening is that the substring itself may have commas with is plaving havoc with my code ..for Eg ..in the line below "nuclear mRNA splicing, via spliceosome " in not supposed to be split but split at "398 // nuclear mRNA splicing, via spliceosome // inferred from electronic annotation"

One Other condition I can use is that the comma that I want will always be folloed by either a number of a '-' can I use this condition to design the split ..if so how do I do it

Thanks for your time.

398 // nuclear mRNA splicing, via spliceosome // inferred from electronic annotation ,5634 // nucleus // inferred from sequence or structural similarity ,3713 // transcription coactivator activity // inferred from sequence or structural similarity
