"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi andrewh123,
unfortunately no: Active Directory search is meant only to, and capable of, searching for active directory objects, like computers, users, groups, shares , and printers.
Hope it helps, Elbereth

There is no option in active directory to search network file
But you can use the window search option for search file
Start > search> enter
File and folder name in search file name
Look in tab> Browse > My network place > select computer
Than search.

You can also use the following free software.
