what happened if i do it from enterprise manager &nbsp; and i just go to the parent table and set it to no identity made my change in the table &nbsp;(record &nbsp;70 &nbsp;needs to be 80) &nbsp;and chaneg it back to identyty yes

perform ur update<br />
reapply the relationship.<br />

i have a database with many relationships and i need to change the id of an article who had identity set. &nbsp; when i create an update in sql it tellls me that icannot do it because is identity. &nbsp; &nbsp;i trtied to set identity off but it gives me a message that other related tables will update....i just want to take identy for one second make an id change and then put it back in place as identity.<br />

is this going to mess my table relationships??? &nbsp; &nbsp;i have so many people using this and i cant affor a big mess up.<br />
