HP 6300c Scanner, Dirty Inside Window

I would like to clean the inside glass of my HP 6300c scanner (years past warrenty).  Can I jusy remove the top and clean the glass or is it attached to some touchy internal mechanism which would make it difficult to ressamble in proper working order?  Please don't hesitate to elaborate.

Generally speaking, you just remove the cabint top and clean it like any other piece of glass.
i think, you need to open the scanner body, in order to have access to the inside of the glass panel.
Look for screws, or clips on the bottom side.

I cleaned the glass the other day.  I had no idea it was so simple.
