Infopath - Populate a text box depending on the selection of a dropdown list
Hi there,
couldn't find an Infopath section hopefully this section is close enough :)
I've just created a form to test this out to see if it can be done - I've created the form based on a connection to a database. The database contains 2 fields - FullName & EmailAddress.
The form contains two controls -
A drop down list - linked to the FullName Field
A text box - this I want to update depending on the selection in the drop down list.
If Employee 1 is selected from the drop down I want that employees email address to populate the text box.
Can this be done?
Many thanks in advance
Michael

Michael thanks for the grade,
yes it looks wonderfull indeed, there is a learning curve which i guess will keep a lot of people from using it while they still can build on their current knowledge about html/xml/vb/excel/word etc..... maybe i'm over emphasizing the usefullness but to me it looks like this application could replace a lot of the current build custom applications for intranets.
but of course it will take another 5 years to prve me right or wrong :-)
in the meantime we enjoy having it around, see also

many thanks for that - it works a treat :)
InfoPath is a piece of software I had never heard of until recently and it seems to be a wonderful program :)
Again many thanks.
