I am creating a web application on eclipse IDE.
i go: File > New > Project > Dynamic Web Project > Enter my roject name and Finish

For some reason, the directory "/classes" is not being created under <Context root>"WebContent/WEB-INF/"
but under "<context root>/build/"

Why is that?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

thats ok, it'll create the classes in WEB-INF when you deploy it to a server.

Hi komlaaa,

You can't see the classes directory from within eclipse (unless you are in the
resource perspective). If you want to cross check, go to the workspace through
the file system and check.
