I want to use my laptop for serial communication using rs232 but there is no RS232 PORT: is there any solution using usb?

I am using Hp laptop. It does not have any RS232 serial port. I want to use it for serial communication either with microcontroller or "MOBILE PHONE FOR GPRS" using HYPER TERMINAL.

Is it possible to use port available for multimidea or monitor?

Is there any USB TO SERIAL cable and Is it possible to use that usb port from hyperterminal?

Please help me?

There are USB to serial adapters, but if your notebook also has PCCard slots, it is better to get PCCard serial adapters, as these usually work better than those from USB.
