I need to install RHE3 onto a HP DL380 (i686).  I cannot use RHE4 because the app we need to install is written for v3.

When I install I get the No Harddrives have been found message (before gui) after the cciss driver gets loaded.  I assume I need to install the raid controller driver from HP using linux dd command at setup.  However the driver is on floppy or rpm? The DL380 I have does not have a floppy.  Can I copy the rpm onto a removable disk?  Also do I need the other storage drivers?

Is it easier to somehow recompile the install cd's (or attempt a network install) to incorporate all of HP's latest drivers for the dl380?

Driver files : http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/locate/101_5561.html#74

I have used Smartstart 7.3 (and 7.4) to create the raid.  The disk space is over 1tb, I assume Linux can hanle that.  Are there any other raid settings that linux does not support?  Max boot size.. stripe size?

Sorry bit of a beginner to Linux on servers.

PS hardware definatly works because open BSD 6.0 detected the disks and installed fine.

Thanks in advance.  Oh and I am under pressure to go live urgently.. always the way!
