Configure Dlink Access Point as Wireless Client (HOWTO)
Hello,
I would like to configure an access point as a wireless client and use it to access a wireless network that is quit a distance from my laptop.
I have 2 dlink APs, one is connect to the office LAN and also acts as a DHCP server for anyone connectin to the office LAN. The other is in my house 1 block away and I would like to use it to access the office LAN (in Wireless Client mode). I am doing this because the aerial on the AP is strong that the aerial on the laptop and hence the office signal will be easily detected.
I have gone through the Dlink website and seen their FAQ. It doesnt explain how you configure the laptop to access the wireless client AP. I have connected the WC-AP to my laptop using ethernet.
Kindly assist.
Edd.
