Database read and write question

What I am looking to do is when this read of the database occurs I would also like to append a -1 to the processed field as each record is written to the text box  what would the best way be to incorporate it into this code?

With rt

 .MoveFirst
        While Not .EOF

  'MsgBox arline(0) & " " & arline(1) & " " & arline(2) & " " & arline(3)

  'MsgBox txtDescr

 Text1.Text = Text1.Text & rt.Fields("StudentID") & " " & rt.Fields("Date") & " " & rt.Fields("Time") & " " & rt.Fields("Total") & " " & rt.Fields("CC") & " " & rt.Fields("Processed") & vbCrLf

 'write to the processed field and continue!
 <-- something here!-->
 'End write

.MoveNext

Wend

End With

the edit method is not found...  What references are you assuming on this?
John Gates, CISSPSecurity ProfessionalAuthor Commented:
The edit was overkill as the record was already open.

What You using DAO or ADO?
dmitryz6Commented:
You are using ADO for ADO,you don't need to use edit.For DAO you need it.
John Gates, CISSPSecurity ProfessionalAuthor Commented:
DAO is the devil and not supported in .NET 8)

Dimante.
No offence,but did you specify what VB you are using?From code you provided it could be DAO as well
