If you were to share them with a $ symbol at the end of the sharename, the shares will not be visible. However this will not hide mapped networked drives. The fact you have mapped them to drive letters though makes them visible. I think this is an all-off or all-on in respect to group policy.

actually I have DOS application and other application which need map network drive to let user to work normally, and i want to secure these drives i decide to hide them all from group policy but i couldnt because our property used on of the mape network drive H: drive to share documents between users and i want this drive to shown for all users without other map network drives (G,K,S etc..)
I see what you are facing but there isn't a way to do this on *local* computer. If you could setup like a terminal server or so, then user's won't have the drives on their local machines though, but that depends on the type of application you are running.

Or if it is an application built within yourself, then you can look at not sharing but accessing all the time by some kind of settings in registry or so. Though I'm not 100 % sure about how this will work.

Yep, it is 12:28, thought I will just glance through EE once more today :-) I got my Visa and am flying to US this month end so the next 10 days is going to be my *enjoyment = free* time, guess I'm not going to be visiting EE that often :-0

You'll have to create your own template (do NOT edit %Systemroot%\inf\system.adm!); look here for details:
Using Group Policy Objects to hide specified drives in My Computer for Windows 2000
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=231289

The value you need to hide all drives except H: is 67108735.

I have a similar situation but want to only show the Z drive.  Can I substitute the H for Z or does it need a different code?  If someone could post the code for me with the Z drive solution that would be great.  Or I could post another question.
