Greetings!

I have tried many methods for restoring my IE 6 on my PC (XP home SP2) including the regedit, using add/remove windows reatures, booting to XP CD, etc. Here is what I am getting:

in Add/Remove Windows components, the IE checkbox feature shows 0.0 Byts. I click it and watch the installer do it's thing, and then select finish. Nothing happens when I launch IE

When I download the IE 6 installer from the microsoft website and run, I get the error that the version of IE 6 on my computer is newer than the one I am trying to install and won't be updated, etc.

So, somehow I deleted it...but IE left some system files that make everything think that is istalled and running so it cannot be repaired or re-installed.

I need to know I can get it working again so I can run updates, etc. Right now I use Firefox

Thanks!
