you want to have those folders in different locations? or you just want to change your "My Documents" location?
If so, just right click on "My Documents"->properties
at the target page, change the "Target Folder Location"..

I believe TweakUI allow you to do this:

Any reason why not you simply just make a shortcut to these and paste them onto your desktop?
As they on on your slave ( dont use Windows) stick them all in one folder on D name them MY Documents on D ?? then create a shortcut to it. Cut That and paste it onto the desktop.
Just like my documents is already on the desktop for c drive remove this one and use your shortcut from D re-name it to My Documents to remove the shortcut name.
When saving files downloading files etc simply get it to point to these instead of the local C.
I know your situation as well we all have our stuff on this slave hdd for safety if the C hdd fails our stuff is safe and want quick access.

This would work, if I had all of the other special folders within the MY Documents folder, but I have them all on seperate 200GB drives (except MY Music which is on 2 spanned 200GB drives)

Looks like this is my answer, let me see when I get home and have a chance to try it.

I already have done that, I want the other special folders
DCreature>>>
I don't want another application
Merete>>>
I don't want it simply as a shortcut, because I like when programs open right up to the right folder (Adobe Photoshop to My Pictures, Music programs to My Music, Video to my Video, etc.....) Plus some of the features of Windows XP that just make it more easy to navigate.

Hey guys/girls thanks for the answers and patience.
I have been bogged down at work, and two weeks have'nt gotten online much
The registry hack does work for my situation and the shortcut idea is true, because the shortcuts would be right there.
thanks to everyone for the help
