Hi all,

This must seem really simple to someone, I can't believe I've been at this for five hours and still haven't even connected to the &""&^£^ database yet!

Working in Delphi 6 Enterprise with the Interbase tab's components.  I've dropped a TIBDatabase component onto a new project's form & set up the properties quite happily - the logon box pops up & the parameters get stored for user name & password into the Params TString property.

I've discovered the TIBDatabase's GetTableNames method & figure that's a great place to start...  I plonk a button on the form with a TListBox & give it the line:

IBDatabase1.GetTableNames(TStrings(ListBox1), True);

"Unavailable database" is the only error I'm getting from this thing.  Truly frustrating.

Help is crap, Google's been no use.  Someone must have achieved this functionality, surely.

What the hell am I doing wrong?  Just a little sample of code to get me started, please!
