Hi there
I had installed VMWare 5.5 for Linux previously on my server.
Now I cannot run it because it keeps crashing etc.
I would like to uninstall it..
When I try to uninstall it, it says:

[root@ns VMWare]# rpm -e VMware-workstation-5.5.0-16958.i386.rpm
error: package VMware-workstation-5.5.0-16958.i386.rpm is not installed

When I try to install it from the same rpm, I get:

[root@ns VMWare]# rpm -i VMware-workstation-5.5.0-16958.i386.rpm
        package VMwareWorkstation-5.5.0-16958 is already installed

and when I try to do an update, here's the result.. so somehow it's both installed and uninstalled.. how? :)
[root@ns VMWare]# rpm -Uvh VMware-workstation-5.5.0-16958.i386.rpm
Preparing...                ########################################### [100%]
        package VMwareWorkstation-5.5.0-16958 is already installed
[root@ns VMWare]#

please help me.. I'd like to uninstall / reinstall this software so that I can start using it again.
Thanks.
