Is there a good interactive CAD engine for web site development using VB.NET?

I need to develop a web site that includes interactive CAD activities. I want to be able to use VB.NEt as the development tool but the resulting web app needs to be accessible from as broad of a client platform base as possible. This seems to preclude the use of any activeX based engines (of which I have found some that would do what I want except the platform independence). Are there any CAD engines out there that will work with most types of web browsers on a broad variety of target platforms? Are there any that support 3D?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

This may not be the answer but you can still refer for additional information.

The original "AutoCAD Managed VB application wizard" is very simple. Only the "Autodesk.AutoCAD.Runtime" namespace is imported, but the ObjectARX application often needs other namespaces such as "Autodesk.AutoCAD.DatabaseSevices" and "Autodesk.AutoCAD.ApplicationSevices".
