My new acer notebook has xp home.  My PC has w2k pro.  I have a win 2k pro "upgrade" disk, which will not install over xp.  What do I need to do to replace xp with 2kpro?  Buy a full version of 2kpro?  Is there another way?

One reason I want to do this is that I cannot get the two to see each other on my wireless network.  Would xp pro work better for me in this respect?  I understand it is really 2kpro with bells and whistles.

Thanks
