Ping uses a different network protocol (ICMP) than Citrix does (TCP). &nbsp;Since you can connect via citrix, you know the routing is good. &nbsp;I would guess that your firewall is blocking the ping requests. &nbsp;It may also be blocking your outlook client too.

I have a server in my office that I can't seem to ping from the Internet. &nbsp;This PC is a Citrix server among other things, and it is operational in that regard. &nbsp;In fact I can communicate to the server via Terminal Services and Citrix, using the public IP address 66.135.6.166 or a domain name mail.nationalbp.com, but I cannot ping either of those names. &nbsp;I am a networking novice, so I was wondering if anyone would explain the above to me.<br />
