"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Just right click a folder and then choose 'Sharing and securiting'. Then choose ''Share this folder'. Now on the other computer access your computer like this way: \\ip.ad.re.ss. Put that line in your Internet Explorer address bar.

when i type this in \\ip.ad.re.ss. i get windows cannot fined \\ip.ad.re.ss. check he spelling and try again
TagorCommented:
You need to replace ip.ad.re.ss by your ip address.
For example: \\192.168.1.1

You can get the ip address in Windows XP by doing this on the 2nd pc: Go to start and choose 'run'. Then type 'cmd' and press enter. Then type 'ipconfig' and press again enter. It will show the ip address of the computer.
