Not all spoolers start after boot

Running AIX 4.3.3 on 7026-H80
After reboot I issue the command:
lssrc -gspooler
-and get this:
Subsystem  Group     PID     Status
 lpd            spooler   22188   active
 qdaemon   spooler           inoperative
 writesrv     spooler           inoperative

Spoolers are in /etc/inittab file as:
     lpd:2:once:/usr/bin/startsrc -s lpd
     qdaemon:a:wait:/usr/bin/startsrc -sqdaemon
     writesrv:a:wait:/usr/bin/startsrc -swritesrv

Why don't all the spoolers start?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I believe the other 2 daemons were not started because of the "a" in those inittab entries. System will never go into that run level as it is not a real run-level. Those daemon will start only when you request by issuing "telinit" command. To fix this, you only need to replce "a" with the proper run-level (i.e. 2).
Hope this helps.
