I need Symantec AV Corp Edition for 1 license..?

I do not want to spend 500 bucks for 10 licenses which is the minimum for ordering or downloading from Symantec's website...

Does anyone know where I can download only 1 license? I want to have the Corporate version of Norton instead of the home version...

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

That's really your only option (even if you were trying to buy from a retailer).... if you're in college (be it grad school or undergrad), check to see if they offer Symantec. In which case, you'd be an authorized user on a school's license. Not really want you wanted to hear, I know, but there's the truth.

There is other antivirus software out there, check out avast!

Call a reseller like CDW or similar.  They could probably sell you a single license (not completely sure though).

Most resellers still make you follow the rule of the 10 license minimum. Checked a couple earlier just to verify the info.

for the author, why is the corp edition so important to you in a home environment?  Because you don't have to renew it each year to get the update DATs?  That's the only reason I can think of.
My guess is that jslayton prefers the interface, where the Corp. Edition is cleaner and doesn't have all the fluffy presentation, etc. But being part of a group like a university he attends is the only legitimate way that I can think of.
As a symantec reseller I can verify that you can't get a single license for SAV Corp because of the way their licensing program is structure.  Like masnrock stated, your only way would be to affiliate yourself with an organization that doesnt mind including your pc in their licensing purchase (even that goes into the gray area a bit)

And I'll agree with Rindi that IF your issue is simply to get free DATs, etc. just get a free A/V like avast or AVG.
