how do I get my Dell LCD to display my desktop on a Inspiron 6000 to display @ same resolution

Last Modified: 2013-11-17
I can get the display to "Extend my desktop"....but this is not what I am trying to accomplish. I am trying to get my LCD to "mirror" my desktop display on my laptop.

Do you mean you are trying to show the same thing on both screens? If so how about the Fn and whichever Fkey it is on a Dell to switch between displays. My IBM Thinkpad has Fn F7 to switch between or simultaneously run displays, with no problems.

press FN and F8 2 times (look at your F1-12 and you will see a key with crt/lcd)
