How do I pass a parameter to another page in an Iframe?

I am building a web page using ASP.Net (VB) that will allow a user to browse a large and complex data set.  As there is too much information for each record to be displayed on a single page, I have elected to use a tab control which displays a series of IFrames.  Each tab (IFrame) is a separate aspx page presenting a portion of the data set.

The key for the dataset is selected on the main web form.  I need to pass at least the selected key field or more preferably a dataset to the page in the IForm.

Idealy, I would like to share a common dataset between the pages without having to go back to the database for each page.  Is it possible to share session state information between two pages?

As I suspect this isn't possible, I need to at least pass and then receive the select key value from the main page to the page in the IFrame.

What I need is an example, preferably in VB, of how to do this.

Can you help?
