Do you have any reserved addresses that cross over into your scope?
Is this the only DHCP server on the network?  The only Scope?

one dhcp server, one scope

This is in event viewer

The DHCP service has detected that it is running on a DC and has  no credentials configured for use with Dynamic DNS registrations  initiated by the DHCP service.   This is not a recommended security configuration.   Credentials for Dynamic DNS registrations may be configured using the command line "netsh dhcp server set dnscredentials" or via the  DHCP Administrative tool.

I've done that .. no change .. it loses scope options when i restart the dhcp service

i do have some reservations that are within the scope, but this has never been a problem before?

it's the scope options that get dropped .. router, dns server etc
It looks like the DHCP is not configured properly to talk ot the DNS service

Open your DHCP MMC.
Right click the server/IP->properties->dns tab

what is configured?

Here is an explanation of the options on that tab:

enable dns dynamic updates is on
always dynamically update dns & ptr is on
discard a & ptr when lease expires in on
how is the Dns configured for your server, NIC settings(primary, secondary IP) and dns service(ip listening on,forwarders)

Do an IPCONFIG /ALL and post back here

oh hold on, check this for me

in the DHCP admin, right click your server/ip->properties->advanced tab, click the credentials button, Enter your domain admin username/password combo.....restart the service....I can't believe I forgot about this ....
Also make sure the administrator account is in the DNSUpdateProxy group, and has log on as a service rights

Hmm .. the admin account was not in the dnsupdateproxy group (it now is) .. where is the logon as a service right?
go ahead and restart the DHCP service, it will tell you if it needs to be added
