Missing Themes in Front Page Site

We have moved a site from one server location to another. They both have front page extensions. what happen is move the whole folder over to new server and apply front page ext of course the front page extension being applied makes me think its over writing. SO then I just applied the folder again over it and it kicked out the extensions.. Just trying to make the form work and keep the simple them the rest is always there... help

You cannot move a FP website like that. The best thing - publish the FP website to the new server via Frontpage. Copying all the files over - you cannot copy the _vti folders. You have to delete those and apply FP extensions after you copy.

But the best thing - publish with Frontpage

ok let me get this step by step.... lets say I give it a new directory and I login into the live site that still on old server and then front page publish it to the new site. if I apply front page extension on the server to the domain is going to mess it up or do I apply first then copy over... just trying to move it in tact from one server to another... help

If you are going to publish to the new site, you will need FPSE extensions installed on the new site.
