Recover Exchange 2003 Database after Crash

Hi

I have a crashed Exchange 2003 Server with no useful online backup. I cannot boot the System, because the MBR is most probably damaged (physical damage).

However, I ran a data recovery program on the damaged disk and I have access to the entire file system, including the exchange server directories.

The problem is, the server crashed without online backup and without the stores being properly unmounted.

I am now setting up another server (all software will have the same version, the machine name and IP Number will be the same as on the crashed server, domain name the same as well).

Since I have access to the file system on the crashed server, is there a way I can extract the exchange server public and private store and transfer it to the new server? I suppose it's not as easy as copying some of the files to the new server, is it?

My config:

W2003 Server + Exchange 2003 Server

Thanks + Regards

Boris
