i have a need for better video on my dell inspiron 5160 laptop.

currently, i can only get 1024x768 resolution...  i would really benefit from a  higher res...

i dont know the limitations of my stock lcd screen... or really the current vid card.

i've read alot about what dell says works, and what other websites say work, as upgrades... but i need the expert feedback before i purchase.

here's what i got in my machine right now:

vid card:       XGI volari XP5 version 2.116.DELL (32mb)
processor:    Mobile P4 3.06 Ghz hyper-threading
drive:          100gb
burner:       8x DVD+/-RW dual layer
memory:    1 GB in (2) 512's

what i'm looking at are these... these are ebay item numbers:
Item number: 6849879437 Gforce Go FX5200 Model M1325, 64mb
Item number: 6849661653 ATI RADEON 9000 Model Y0708, 64MB

the gforce, dell says should work with it...   the radeon isnt mentioned by dell, but other websites say it should work.

the auction seller wont answer for sure, he's more of a seller than a techie i think.

on your expert opinion, and why, what should i get?

keep in mind, i'm afraid that if it doesnt work, i cannot get a refund here, so want to be sure...

i dont play any graphics intensive games, but i value my screenspace and 1024x768 just isnt kicking it anymore...
i'm sure this display panel can handle much more... (not absolutely sure, but i think it should...)
