I am converting a Web Site developed in C3 and ASP.NET 1.1.

It looks like the Global.asax changes in ASP.NET 2.0.

Is there an easy explaination of how to change to the new model?
I currently have code in a Global.asax.cs file that I use to establish session variables for my database connection.  I could access all of my code from the application in the Global.asax.cs file with "using" statements.  Now it looks like the Global.asax file uses scripts for the session_start even and will not let me do "codebehind" options.  How can this be accomplished in ASP.NET 2.0?
