symantec anti-spam, POP won't relay anymore...
We are currently running Domino 6, and we have POP3 configured for some of our users that would like to be using outlook (both in house and at home).
We were running fine with Symantec Mail Security installed, no problems. Then seemingly, when I updated our Symantec Anti-Spam to the premium edition, our pop mail won't route outside the LAN.
We're getting a 550 SMTP error.
Any ideas what could be causing this?
Thanks!
Scott

nope, it doesnt...
Where do you get the error message? What's in the Notes log.nsf? What's in other logs? Can you POP3 from an inside PC?
Trace all steps bottom up, until you can pinpoint the problem.

Is the Symantec a Corporate version pushed from a central server, or is it only a local install ?
Check the readme file for the newer version for known issues.
Also check the Symantec site Knowledge base for the error you are getting.
I hope this helps !

this is symantec mail security, so it's not pushed from anywhere...
Seen my questions above??

well, here's the latest.
When you install the premium spam service, it installs MS SMTP service. so there's some sort of relay issue between that, and my domino server. I added the IP address of the domino server to the route list of the SMTP server, but no avail... any takers?
Thanks!
