2 domains, 2IPs, 2 websites, 2 email addresses

I currently have 2 domains, 2IPs, 2 websites, 2 email addresses.  Is it possible to split these so that 1 IP is for just the email and 1 for just the webpages so I can use 2 different servers?  Currently 1 Domain name is set up for 1 IP which web and email go through and same way for the other.

Sure... Why not?  Just change the DNS to point to the appropriate systems and configure the two seperate servers.
would I have to change the MX records, I figured you could but not sure if I had to change MX or not
Vanhooseja,

The 2 servers are easy,  Mail would be delivered to 1 ip and then routed by the mail system.  Your only issue I can see is that you will need a seperate IP for each web site, unless you can route by HTTP Request text...

But other wise, this is very "Dooable".

Do you have control over the Intenet DNS? and MX Records for both domains?
if so you have better control for config/scheduling and testing.

im not able to route through the firewall were using and starting to push for a better one but the company may not go for it since we need to purchase a better email client also.  Our total network needs revamped so the begginging will be Sat. when everone is gone its all coming down lol.

now we are currently have 2 ip's one for each web site (bought a company) so there email comes in through one ip which is there website ip also and ours is the sam situation.
Easy Enough...

Use 1 IP to route Http to 1 server, use the other IP to route HTTP to Other Server,  Use Port Routing to Route all Needed Mail Ports ( 110, 25) (pop3 and SMtp) to which ever Internal IP is your mailsystem...., Ill bet your router can do that....

Just make both MX records point to a single IP with your internet DNS, and use your router to "Split" that address up into Mail centric TX, and send that to the Mail router.  Then the mail router takes control for routing to boxes.

forgot to mention were not using a routerits a very poor network design on used equipment
Zowie...

If you have no router...pray tell.... how are you getting to the internet?
dsl comes in to a switch then feeds to another then a firewall that just bairly does enough to get us by but not enough to do all that I need it to do
do you have administrative authorities over the firewall and switch??  if so, send me the model numbers of them, i can find out what they can really do...

I do have admin rights to all the stuff but the switch is really just a hub/switch lynsys to a netgear , firewall is a freeware edition  previously installed, trying to get them to upgrade to actuall one smoothwall,
