Hi,

Just want some pointers on how to implement a user login and simple session functionality. I know you can use cookies... not really too keen on getting into that for now but may do if required. For a user to stay "logged in" after they have logged in using an html form on a php page with associated login script can you just post the users login details to each page so that the pages recognize the users as "logged in"?

Sorry if I rambled a bit there! Regarding session time-outs could I just have a sessions MySQL table which contains current users logged in with last time of action? (Pages would check to see if last action was carried out within 5 minutes for example to add a level of security for user)

Any pointers / advice / experience on what would be best would be much appreciated. Bear in mind I am not developing a highly complex commercial application :-)

Thank ya!
